    The GMA Sustainability Awards recognize outstanding contributions to sustainability across the abrasive blasting and waterjet cutting industries. Open to GMA customers and partners, the awards highlight those demonstrating leadership through responsible garnet return and recycling practices.

    FAQs

    I currently participate in my regional garnet return program. Will this continue? Or the GMA Garnet™ Sustainability Awards will replace this program?
    In short no.  The regional garnet return program that is currently running continues as per the region's requirements. The global program compliments the regional program and sit as a global recognition program based on the same global criteria.
    Customers send used garnet from waterjet cutting or abrasive blasting operations to one of our collection points, and we reprocess the material in one of our state-of-the-art processing plants. Before used garnet can be returned, we must ensure it is environmentally safe to transport and process.
    Customers need to work with your local GMA Sales Representative to determine the program is of benefit and finalize the processes before participation. 
    If you are part of GMA’s regional Garnet Return Program, you automatically qualify for the Global Program.
