Our purpose and values

GMA Executive Committee
The Executive Committee comprises GMA's senior management, who provide vision and leadership in supporting the Group’s integrated business in mining, processing, logistics, and global distribution of garnet abrasives.

Grant Cox
CEO
As CEO, Grant is leading GMA in pursuit of significant business growth through the development of international garnet resources and expanding our global footprint. He works to meet these goals while maintaining the caring culture of an entrepreneurial, private business enterprise and ensuring the Group takes a sustainable approach to business.
Before being appointed CEO in 2021, Grant joined GMA as CFO in 2015 and was responsible for the stewardship of our financial performance, as well as managing the day-to-day operations within the finance division. Previously, he worked in EY’s Corporate Finance and Restructuring divisions on a range of clients and industries.
Grant is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), and Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).

Luke Anderson
CFO
Luke is responsible for the ongoing stewardship of GMA’s financial performance. He oversees the management of the Group’s treasury function, management reporting, financial reporting, taxation, and business systems, and works to improve decision support systems through analytics that inform business initiatives.
Prior to being appointed CFO in 2021, Luke joined GMA as Manager of the Group Planning and Analysis function in 2015 and was responsible for all financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting at GMA.
He also worked as a Senior Analyst for a publicly listed company providing mining equipment in Australia, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. where he was responsible for Board and investor reporting, together with financial analysis and budgeting.
Luke is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

Andreas Horn
General Manager, Global Mining & Production
Andreas is responsible for the global mining and production activities of the Group which also includes global technical services. Andreas has over 25 years of experience in operations, international project management, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and business development.
Prior to joining GMA, Andreas worked as a Vice President for K+S, a global leader in potash and salt mining, and as a Technical Director for a German-based mineral processing equipment OEM. He also co-developed and grew the business in Australia as a company director.

Flynn Cowan
General Manager, International Sales & Marketing
Flynn is responsible for the coordination and support of GMA’s sales and marketing strategies, as the business pursues its growth strategy. His key responsibilities comprise the leadership and strategic direction of the Group's four key functions: International Sales, Asia Pacific Sales, Global Marketing, and Logistics.
Before joining GMA, Flynn worked as a Regional Market Manager for Tesa, a manufacturer of industrial adhesive tapes. The role was based in Singapore and included accountability for the growth of the Asia Pacific market. During his 14 years at Tesa, he also held the Sydney-based position of National Sales & Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Flynn has completed extensive management training in Europe, supervised by the Rotterdam School of Management, Heriot-Watt University, and Copenhagen Business School.

Andreas Höfner
General Manager, Europe
Andreas heads up a team of 41 sales, marketing, purchasing and logistics professionals focused on serving GMA’s European market for waterjet cutting and surface preparation industry.
In addition, he manages customer accounts and maintains close business relations with members of GMA’s worldwide supply chain.
As one of the pioneer GMA employees in Europe, Andreas joined the Group in 1991 and has more than 30 years of experience in blasting, coating, sales and overall operational management to his role. He began his career at Hempel Paints in Germany, where he apprenticed and later served as Sales Manager, with a focus on shipyard and marine new-build accounts.

Soni John
General Manager, Middle East & Garnet Arabia Company
Soni joined GMA in 2005, and was promoted to General Manager at Garnet Arabia Company — a GMA joint venture — in 2009. Today, he heads the entire Middle East Region as General Manager, which also includes the Subcontinent, selected countries from Africa and CIS States.
Soni began his career in 1998, working in Marketing & Sales for Al Kaabi Contracting & Trading Company, a civil contracting and trading company in Doha. During that time, GMA abrasives were part of his product portfolio, as his employer was the sole distributor for GMA in the state of Qatar.
Seven years later, in 2005, Soni joined GMA Garnet Middle East as a Sales Manager in Jebel Ali, Dubai. In 2007, he was promoted to the position of Business Development Manager at the newly-formed Garnet Arabia Company.

David Suzko
President, Americas
David oversees the management, supervision, and leadership of GMA’s processing, distribution, and sales across the Americas. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading global industrial businesses in diverse markets, with expertise spanning sales, marketing, strategy, operations, finance, HR, and corporate governance.
David began his career with Dow Chemical, where he spent 13 years in progressively senior roles. Moving through W.R. Grace and Huntsman, David ultimately lead a multi-functional organization across North and Latin America with full accountability for commercial outcomes. Prior to joining GMA, he consistently delivered growth by strengthening processes, instilling discipline, and elevating customer experience across the Americas region.
David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Clemson University and an MBA in Finance and General Management from the Jones Business School at Rice University.
