Global Projects HomeThe Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognisable structures in the world. Completed in 1889, France’s cultural icon was constructed by joining together 18,038 pieces of wrought iron using 2.5 million rivets. Maintenance of the tower includes surface cleaning of the stone pillars that support the structure's weight. GMA Garnet™ abrasive effectively removed years of built-up dirt and pollution stains from the pillars. The project covering a total surface area of 1600 sqm (17,222 sqft) was completed within just three weeks.
