One of the challenges Maike Dillenburg faced during her initial years as Inside Sales for the Abrasive Blast Division is to win new customers over the phone. She will never forget her very first success story.
“A contractor needed a few trucks of abrasives for a shipyard project between the Christmas holidays and New Year’s day, and there were no trucks available. We solved his predicament by creating transit stocks close to the yards and supplied the required quantities of GMA Premiumblast™ to him right on time,” Maike said.
“Everyone was totally satisfied, and until today, we benefited from this reference which led to winning others such as a long-term project of supplying to luxury super yachts.”
At her office in Hamburg, Department Manager Steffen Glade said Maike is the perfect example of internal support for our outside sales team.
“If you are out travelling, you need strong and loyal support back in the office. Just imagine arriving back to the office and being greeted by a huge mountain of work,” Steffen said.
“She makes life so much easier, and I know that all our customers and partners are in good hands. Over the years, her motivation and interest in our products and services have enabled her to develop strong technical knowledge, from which our customers benefit every day,” he added.
“I am happy to be a part of a rapidly growing business with a lot of potential, and to work in a great team. My future goal is to grow GMA Garnet™ and capture all prospective abrasive blasting companies in the German market,” Maike said.
