GMA Europe turned 25 last year. The anniversary celebration was held in Hamburg, Germany from 22nd to 23rd August 2016.

On day one, GMA board members, employees and guests were treated to a steamboat cruise and delicious dinner while enjoying the view as they sailed along the “Elbe” to Wedel and back in Schleswig-Holstein.

GMA Europe General Manager Andreas Höfner welcomed the guests and took them down memory lane by sharing the journey and development of GMA Europe, the first sale of GMA Garnet abrasive and his many good experiences for the last 25 years.

“I’m still happy to be part of the GMA Europe team. Thank you for the long and reliable support,” Andreas said.

The anniversary celebration continued with a breakfast event at The Madison hotel the next day. 

While the guests were enjoying the buffet,  Andreas gave a presentation on the history of GMA Europe in the last 25 years followed by a presentation from GMA Group CEO Stephen Gobby on the history of GMA, product innovations and future developments of the Group.

In conjunction with this memorable event, Mr Gobby awarded nine GMA employees in Europe for achieving a significant milestone in their service with the Group. In appreciation for their loyalty and dedicated service to GMA, the recipients received a special gold coin that was minted in Western Australia.
