Taking it all in her stride

When you meet or speak to her at any time of the day, she exudes an upbeat and positive demeanor, even though she may be facing one of her very challenging days at work.

Celebrating 10 years of service with GMA in January this year, Ms Amanda Gundry from Geraldton maintains the same level of enthusiasm and professionalism towards her work responsibilities over the decade.

She joined the Group as Technical Services Manager and was responsible for managing the technical and production matters at the wet and dry processing plants in the Midwest of Western Australia.

In 2010, Amanda was promoted as Production Manager and five years later, she took on the position as General Manager Midwest Operations.

“Amanda has gained great respect from the employees with her firm but fair management style. Despite her heavy workload,  Amanda took the recent major upgrade at the wet plant in Port Gregory in her stride, and has demonstrated great capacity and ability in her role as General Manager,” said Group CEO Stephen Gobby.

When she is not at work, she stays fit and active by participating in bike riding sections of triathlon events from time to time and walking her two dogs. Amanda is also a keen and very capable hockey player.
