Hemanshu Dawda joined GMA in March 2003 as one of the first five employees in the office in Dubai. Initially an Administration Assistant, he was hired to work on tasks related to Waterjet Operations, including coordinating with local authorities such as Customs and the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority for myriad of requirements.
Over the last 20 years, Hemanshu has seen the expansion of operations in the region, and has been involved in nearly every process, from bulk shipments, to invoicing, to abrasive and waterjet sales, and logistics.
When asked what he likes best about GMA, Hemanshu has quite a list: the culture, the supportive team (that feels like family), freedom to act and take ownership within the guidelines of the company, and the opportunity to learn and grow.
“Hemanshu is a key team member in GMA,” says Soni John, General Manager of the Middle East region.
“He understands his customers, and his product very well. That comes from the time and effort he has put in to learn the technical side of waterjet, which has so many parts to it. We congratulate him on completing 20 years and wish him many more successful years as part of GMA!”
