Bobby’s food truck: Pay it forward

Written by GMA Garnet | 12/1/2021
When you purchase a delicious bacon and egg roll from Bobby’s food truck, you become part of an ongoing cause to secure permanent homes for those sleeping rough on the streets of Perth, Australia.

The proceeds from the sale of these rolls go to Ruah Community Services. Ruah offers support and assistance to vulnerable people going through the trauma of homelessness, family violence and chronic mental illness.

On top of your meal purchase, you can do more by supporting the pay it forward program by buying a meal for someone who cannot afford it themselves. The truck provides 20 to 30 rolls to the homeless in the city every day.

During the Christmas period last year, GMA supported the pay it forward program by sponsoring 200 meal sets — a bacon and egg roll and a cup of coffee for those in need. The complimentary meals in the form of redemption cards were given out by RUAH, especially to women seeking refuge at the 'women-only Safe Night Space' located in the vicinity of the food truck.

Bobby’s Food truck is located at the lobby level of the Pan Pacific Hotel at 207 Adelaide Terrace, Perth, Australia.
